| Re:Re:Outdoor Cafes in Brooklyn that Allow Dogs Thanks. Do you have a law or regulation that explains that? The best I could find was 24 RCNY Hlth. Code 81.25, which states that " No live animal shall be kept, housed or permitted to enter into or remain in any food service establishment. . ." But to me, that doesn't explain the restaurant enclosure distinction. |
| Re:Re:Re:Outdoor Cafes in Brooklyn that Allow Dogs It's a "hole" in the law. State law says no animals IN food service establishments (places where food is served-prepared for humans). So -- in guidelines re food-service inspections -- NYC Dept of Health & Hygiene specifically cites animals as violations when IN the bldg, ON food line, etc. There's wiggle-room if animals aren't IN the bldg, and aren't in a food-prep space, and follow other law (leashed in public, no banned species, etc.)" |
