Reykjavik Gets A Lesson
Two beautiful Rottweilers finally got Alexander Reykjavik in the water
at DUMBO beach.
They came down and waded right into the water, and he wanted so desperately to say hi to them, that before he knew it, his feet were getting wet.
Though I have no photos to prove it, he became more and more enamored with the idea of being in the water, and began repeatedly walking out to the other dogs who were elbow deep at one point, and then romping back to the shore, splashing the maximum amount of water possible.
He was so delighted with this, as if he suddenly learned what this place, which he visits every day, was for.

Best Dog Park in NYC - Hillside!
Alexander Reykjavik loves Hillside dog park, between Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO. It is a 2 acre dog park, with enough room for him to run. We try to spend the weekend mornings here. Looking down from the top of the hill, here is the panorama from left to right. This is looking toward Old Fulton Street, and Grimaldi's Pizza (2 blocks away).
Rotating right, the middle view. AR is down there in front of the picnic table. At the far end of the park is a small fenced off area for the little dogs.
.
In the background is 70 Washington, jCondo, and Beacon Tower (tall slender building on the right), all recently added to the residential market in DUMBO. Alexander Reykjavik will soon be added to jCondo, the one behind the grand old warehouse building in the forefront (70 Washington). jCondo is the one with the tiny watertower at the very top. We can see our condo in this shot, which means we will be able to watch his dog friends in the park.

while we ate brunch at Five Front in DUMBO.
We found a great seat at this window . . .
When we pulled into the parking space, there was a photographer nearby, taking photos of the DUMBO environs. As we left for the restaurant, he started taking pictures of AR in the car.
Here he is on the left in the photo, still taking shots as we returned from brunch. His name was Jirka, originally from Prague, now living down the road in Red Hook, Brooklyn. I had watched out the window, and he was continuously taking pics of AR, from every angle, the entire time. I hope got some good ones!

Alexander Reykjavik and the Pigeon
Pigeon was moving very slow. If it were not for the leash, I think he might have met his demise this day.
Gotta get a better look.
Nose-to-nose.
